Kenya has secured new opportunities to expand its agricultural exports to the US following a trade mission led by Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe. A key outcome was a deal with the United States Africa Trade Desk, which pledged both retail market access and financing support to strengthen Kenyan exporters’ capacity. The mission also opened doors for American investment in large-scale farming and agro-processing, while partnerships with Mastercard and South Carolina State University aim to boost farmer credit access, data transparency, and training. Additional business linkages were sealed through a pact between Kenyan and US chambers of commerce, reinforcing Kenya’s bid to grow into a regional agricultural hub.
